Use the node to move the ends of the webs
When two webs are selected, a grip point is formed between the ends of the adjacent profiles at the joint node. Grab the grip point and move the node to a new location. The cursor is locked in the chord direction by default.
Move end of selected webs to certain distance from end of the bottom chord
Move the ends of the diagonals within a specified distance from the bottom of the bottom chord.
Add and remove web pairs
The new version brings a clever way to add and remove web pairs from the top chords of a truss. Select the top chord and then the + symbol on the screen to add diagonal pairs. From the same symbol, you can also select the removing of the diagonal pairs from the drop-down menu.
Set the location of the first diagonals accurately
For the first four member node points, you can enter exact distances in the truss generation settings dialog. You can set one or all four node distances to suit. Remember that it's possible to save different default settings in the truss library.
Mirror webs from one side to the other side of a symmetrical truss
It's now easy to make symmetrical trusses if you have modified one side of the truss. After you have finished the changes on one side, just select the webs that you would like to mirror and select "Mirror and Replace" from the context sensitive pull down menu.
Copy webs from one truss to another
When you have modified the truss members, you can copy the selected members to another truss and replace existing webs.
Add Side Piece Reinforcement
A new type of reinforcement piece tool is available in the new version. Select piece type, side and connection rules and add it into the model. Select the end of profile, where to connect and then the end points of the reinforcement piece. Piece(s) are automatically connected to the truss and added to the analysis model.
Hip Ends automatically extend the Top Chord
When using the setback hip truss you can select the Extend optons to change the shape of the truss.
The option "Extend hip truss top chords" will extend the Top chord along the eave of the truss like the following example.
The option "Extend end jack truss top chords" will extend the top chord the hip trusses to the truss line like the following example.
