Fin: Tiedostomuunnokset 2020

These reforms are presented in Vertex Flow's main version 20.0.00 (Vertex 2020)

General

The Flow-connected Vertex G4 background converter has long taken care of Step, Sat, DWG and DXF conversions in the background.

Starting with version 2019 (Flow 19.0 and G4 25.0), the workstation G4 created a lightweight G4 model when checking it in to flow, where necessary, and then the background converter made lightweight Step and lightweight Sat models, if needed.

Starting with version 2020, all conversions can be left to the Flow server background converter.

Please note that if you do not have a license for making the file conversions, the following fields will be passive in both the Flow browser interface and the G4 user interface.

Assignment for background converter by model

In Flow, you can define in the meta-data of a model, what kind of background conversions you want to do for this model.

  • The command to make the conversion goes to Flow immediately when you select the line.
  • The selected conversions are always done again after the model is Checked in.
  • When you unselect a file conversion, that file format is deleted.

Find converted file formats

With the Search Card of Model, you can find converted files.

You can find converted files, that:

  • Exists.
  • Is missing
  • Is missing although required by meta-data of model.

Term COMPILED changed to FINISHING

The previous state of file conversions, COMPILED, has been changed to FINISHING, which is more true.

  • This means that the file conversion has been completed, but the translation of the translated files to Flow is still pending.
